NCAIS Board Votes to Endorse American GOAL
The American GOAL Scholarship Program is pleased to announce that, after a comprehensive review of the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit and Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) options, the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Association of Independent Schools (NCAIS) has voted to recommend American GOAL as the preferred Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) for its approximately 100 member schools.

American GOAL is modeled after the school community-based, customer service-focused program successfully implemented in Georgia by GOAL Scholarship Program, Inc. over the past 18 years. During that time, GOAL has received $558 million in state income tax contributions and awarded more than 94,000 scholarships that enabled families to choose the K-12 education to best meet the needs of their children.
As states prepare for implementation of the federal scholarship tax credit beginning January 1, 2027, American GOAL is partnering with schools, school associations, dioceses, and education organizations in selected states to provide a proven, turnkey solution for administering the program.
“As the January 1, 2027 launch of the federal income tax credit scholarship program is fast approaching, the NCAIS Board prioritized evaluating the best SGO partner for our member schools,” explained Stephanie Keaney, Executive Director of NCAIS. “Upon learning that the nationally respected GOAL Scholarship Program would be serving schools in multiple states as American GOAL, our decision process became much easier.”
